Shrine Football
Update from the Chairman for the Illinois High School Shrine Game As we draw near the
38th Annual Illinois High School Game to be played on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan we
have the rosters set for the event. John Elder and the Illinois Coaches Association have
done an outstanding job partnering with us to make this a GREAT event. Rosters can be
found on our WebSite
and will be included in the Game Ticket mailing. All of the Shriners in Illinois across all 5 Temples will have the opportunity to support
this event by purchasing 5 tickets for $35 to game which is tax deductible. We encourage
you to consider purchasing these tickets or even become one of our All Star Club Members
to be recognized in our program. Our goal is to increase our annual donation to support
the children at the Shriners Hospitals in Chicago & St. Louis. New to the event this
year will be the King & Queen Shrine patients and our king will be Mason Kofoid who is a
patient at our Chicago Hospital and Sophie Anderson who is a patient in St. Louis. They
are both very excited about being a part of this event and I think we will be very excited to
meet them. The parade will start at 3:30 on Saturday, so if your parade unit would like to
be a part of it please contact the football committee. Form will be available on our website
to complete. The football game will start at 6:30 with player introductions at 6:00pm. We
need volunteers to help out throughout the week, so if you are interested please call Eric

Quilt Raffle For Mohammed Shriners 2012
Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00
This hand-embroidered “ green-work” quilt is Queen size with matching pillow cases.
With the dream of honoring her husband, Mi-chael, Potentate of Mohammed Shrine, Lola Huffaker received help from quilting friends to design, embroider, piece, border and bind, and quilt this beautiful antique-style quilt.
